Mainland, NZF and the Government have teamed up to provide FUN Football Festivals to school children across the country.

Having been so inspired by the overwhelming support given to the All Whites in South Africa by the public, Mainland Football, New Zealand Football and the New Zealand Government have teamed up to give as many young people in schools as possible a fantastic football experience.

FUN Football Festivals have been organised across the Mainland Federation in the areas of Canterbury, Marlborough, Nelson and Mid Canterbury. A staggering 4000 students will take part in these festivals with 2425 from Canterbury alone!

The FUN Football Festivals are aimed at:

·         Providing a great way to introduce young New Zealanders to football

·         Allowing ANYONE to play – even if you have never played before

·         Providing a great way to achieve physical activity for the day

·         Providing the opportunity to develop football techniques, skills

And most of all...gets kids playing the Beautiful Game!

A big thank you to Elmwood Primary, Cobham Intermediate, Chisnallwood Intermediate, St Joseph’s Primary and Oxford Area for participating in these Football Festivals in Canterbury.
